Jiovanni Lieggi is an experienced journalist with years of reporting and newsroom experience across the country. A Northeast Ohio native and Kent State University graduate, Jiovanni has covered major breaking news events including deadly wildfires, hurricanes, and high-profile trials.
Before joining WKBW, Jiovanni worked as a reporter for ABC13 in Houston, a multimedia reporter for FOX News, and a journalist for stations in Louisiana and Ohio. His reporting has been featured on national platforms.
Jiovanni holds advanced degrees in forensic psychology and law from Arizona State University. Known for storytelling that combines compassion, accountability, and depth, Jiovanni focuses on stories that reveal the real-world impact of policy, public safety, and community issues.
In his free time, Jiovanni enjoys running, the outdoors, and trying new foods. He is a Buffalo Bills fan and is excited to be building on his experience while getting to call Western New York home.
