Pheben Kassahun is an anchor/reporter who joined the WKBW Buffalo team in July of 2021.
She anchors WKBW’s weekday noon and 5:30 p.m. newscasts.
Pheben is originally from Dallas but has also lived in Arkansas, Idaho and most recently, the Tri-Cities, TN/VA, before making her way to the Empire State.
Prior to Buffalo, she was the week night anchor for WJHL and ABC Tri-Cities’ 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. newscasts, and reported on stories about community heroes.
Her Alma Mater is the University of Arkansas, where she dual majored in journalism with a concentration in broadcast and political science with a concentration in foreign affairs.
Pheben is an avid hiker, loves NCAA and NBA basketball, loves being at the gym and calling the Hogs! (WPS!)
