AMHERST, NY (WKBW) — UB sophomore guard Dyaisha Fair has been added to the watch list for the 2021 Wade Trophy, an award typically given to the best player in NCAA D-I women's basketball.
Fair has started in all of the team's 15 games this season, averaging 24.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game. She's currently ranked seventh in the nation in scoring and is one of just 11 players in all of Division-I to record a triple-double.
This isn't Fair's first honor this season. She was named a top 10 finalist for the Nancy Lieberman Award, a semifinalist for the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award, and was named to the late season watch list for the Dawn Staley Award.
Four finalists will be announced in mid-March.
