ORCHARD PARK, NY (WKBW) — Buffalo Bills All-Pro cornerback Tre'Davious White will be playing football in 2020, that's according to a report from ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

The report comes on NFL's opt-out deadline day and just 24 hours after White told reporters he was undecided on whether he would play.

Before making his decision official, White sent out a tweet calling out select fans. “Crazy that me choosing my family’s wellbeing over a game comes with so called fans attacking and questioning me and saying I’m selfish,” White tweeted Thursday morning. “No, you guys are selfish for thinking that football is bigger than life. Oh by the way my girl’s grandfather passed from COVID. You understand now?”

When speaking with reporters on Wednesday, White elaborated on how the decision would impact his family and his two young kids.

“At the end of the day, like no matter what, my family is going to come first, no matter what's going on and how big of a season, and what's going on, I'll always put my kids first," White said Wednesday. "Those are things that I think about each and every day and I'm just trying to see if I'm willing to go the distance, go four or five months doing the same thing, and having my kids stuck in the house. I don't know if I'm willing to do that. I'm just going to pray about it and see how it is."

White is entering his fourth year with the Bills and is coming off his best season as a pro. In 2019, he was named First-team All-Pro and was named to his first Pro Bowl. In 15 games, he had six interceptions and two forced fumbles.

Before Thursday's deadline, both cornerback EJ Gaines and defensive tackle Star Lotulelei announced their decisions to opt out of the 2020 season.
