HAMBURG, N.Y. (WKBW) — Let's throw it back to the 90's. The Bills were Super Bowl Bound and one local florist in Hamburg built an awesome display to celebrate.

"We needed something big that looked like the Buffalo, they don't sell that, we had to make it, so we created it in my basement, we cut it out of plywood. You saw super bowl bound everywhere, so we decided to put super bowl bound in the window,” said Rick Satanek, President of Hess Brothers Florist, Inc.

Satanek says being a Bills fan in the 90's was a time he'll never forget.

“It was absolutely amazing, Jim Kelly, Cornelius Bennett, Bruce Smith and Thurman Thomas, everybody knew the Bills names, everybody watched the Bills," said Satanek.

Satanek’s iconic display is full of flowers, of course. It made headlines and seemed to be good luck for the Bills. So he brought the design back again in '92 and '93.

"And then we packed it away for several years and it’s been 30 years since we’ve had it," said Satanek.

Fast forward 30 years, and now with the Bills going to the AFC Championship again, he can finally dust it off and bring it back to his Bills-themed store front.

“I didn’t think I’d ever see this in my lifetime with the seasons we had in the past, but it was really cool to be able to dust it off with the season we’ve had. Repaint it, refurbish it, put some fresh flowers in there and get it back out to show our bills spirit,” said Shenise Satanek, Rick's daughter.

And you'll notice one big difference in this year's display, it doesn't say Super Bowl Bound, but after this weekend, that might change.

“We’d have to rework it a little bit because they were white letters, they might be pretty dusty too, but definitely, we’ll do something,” said Satanek.

In the meantime, they hope more people stop by to see the display.

“We’ve had people driving by honking 'Let’s Go Buffalo,' people in their Bills gear, a family told us they brought all their kids by and we made their night,” said Shenise.

Hess Brothers Florist is just one piece of a large, loud and powerful Bills Mafia community that's proud of this team.

"I think our window says it all, that’s our spirit. We’re one game away. If the bills go to the super bowl we’ll be prepared and it saves me from doing a Valentine’s window," said Satanek.

You can stop by to see it at 28 Main St, Hamburg, NY. They're also selling "Lets Go Bills" flower arrangements and Buffalo themed Sponge Candy in store.
