Pastor Robert Yetter being linked to sexual abuse allegations was shocking for St. Mary's of Swormville paishioners.

"It really shattered a lot of what I've known my entire life" parishioner Mary Ellen Sanfilippo said.

The allegations led to the Fathers' resignation, and questions over what comes next. So on Thursday night, the church held an evening for reflection, prayer, and healing. Headlined by new pastor Bob Zilliox.

"We can move forward," parishioner David Zaleski said, "we can be better and changes have to be made for us to do that."

Moving forward for some, means having to face the harsh reality of the past.

"You really need to be able to forgive, however I don't feel we need to forget" Zaleski said.

7 Eyewitness News was not allowed inside of the church, or on the premises during the event. We also reached out to St. Mary's asking for comment, and they told us they would not be releasing any statements.
