Parents shot dead in Allegany County weeks before fire, manhunt

CLARKSVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) — Days after William Larson, Jr. was arrested and charged with double murder, the 7 Eyewitness News I-Team has obtained the criminal complaint against him.

State police say Larson shot and killed William Larson, Sr. and Lisa Larson at their home on Courtney Hollow Road, in Clarksville, on November 5.

According to the complaint, at least one person was shot dead in the driveway of the home.

The house caught fire last Wednesday. It's unclear what caused the fire.

Firefighters say the two bodies were found inside the home. Police have not said what happened between November 5 and last Wednesday.

Police say the two were shot with a rifle.

According to the complaint, Larson, Jr. made certain admissions while under arrest. Those statements have not been released to the I-Team.

Larson was found on the scene of the fire at Courtney Hollow Road as firefighters were attempting to extinguish it, but he left the scene before police arrived. A manhunt followed, with three schools closing for the day. State police were able to apprehend Larson on Thursday afternoon after a day-long search.

William Larson Jr. is being held at the Erie County Youth Services Center on $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
