CLARKSVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) — A teen accused of killing his parents has been indicted by a grand jury in Allegany County.

According to court documents, 17-year-old William Larson Jr. has been indicted for two counts of murder in the second degree, attempted arson, two counts of concealment of a human corpse and three counts of tampering with physical evidence.

Prosecutors say the bodies of William Larson Sr. and Lisa Larson were discovered following a fire at a house on Courtney Hollow Road, in Clarksville, on November 21, 2019. Officials say Larson started the fire in the basement of the home by burning debris on a pool table.

Investigators say Larson Jr. told authorities he started the fire, calling it the "worst move I made in my life."

The indictment states that Larson shot his father and mother with a rifle and stabbed them to death on November 5, 2019.

According to a criminal complaint, Larson was at the scene of the fire as firefighters were attempting to extinguish it, but left before police arrived. A manhunt followed and New York State Police were able to apprehend Larson after a day-long search.

Larson will be arraigned on the indictment later this month.
