BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — AAA of Western and Central New York was out on the roads during the first major storm of the winter season helping drivers.
"We're the people that are out there when nobody else wants to be out there," Christian Tabak, ERS Fleet Lead Driver at AAA Western and Central New York, said. He was out on the roads Monday night with 34 others from his fleet responding to calls all over WNY.
"It's basically all hands on deck," Dan Fisher, Assistant Fleet Manager at AAA said.
Fisher said AAA sees between 250-275 calls on a typical day. As of 5 p.m. Monday, the Buffalo fleet already had 250 calls.
"I think it's just a shocker even though Buffalonians are kind of used to this weather," Tabak said.
"We could have potentially 3-5 times as many battery calls as we do tow calls," Fisher added.
Tuesday, Fisher said, most likely will see more calls than Monday due to the holiday.
