Flames were seen shooting through the roof of a building on South Park Avenue, Wednesday morning.
The fire, at 1542 South Park Avenue, was called in around 4 a.m. Additional equipment was called in to help fight the fire and South Park Avenue was closed between Abbott and Good.
One firefighter was hurt, according to dispatchers, and was taken to Erie County Medical Center. It's unclear what that firefighter's injuries are.
Dispatchers also say one other person was hurt and taken to Mercy Hospital. Dispatchers could not say what that person's injuries are.
Police tell 7 Eyewitness News, there were people inside the home but they made it out safely.
It's unclear how the fire started.
