BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW-TV) — Photographer Mike Shriver has captured some classy images of the Queen City. His latest photo fascination is with "ghost signs". Ghost signs appear on old buildings across the region. Mike says "they are old hand painted signs that are eighty to a hundred years old."

Mike estimates that there are nearly two hundred fading ghost signs in the area and believes he has photographed about ninety of them. He posted his collection on his blog and says he's had a lot of great feedback, adding "I've gotten fifty to sixty emails in the last couple days. People seem to enjoy it."

Mike says his favorite ghost sign is an old advertisement for Buffalo Tent & Awning at the corner of Broadway and Hickory. He says "I just think there is so much detail to it and it's held up well over the years."
