BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A cold front will move through WNY later this afternoon.

The front will sweep through the area and usher in some cooler and dryer air for the middle of the week.

As the front passes through we have the threat for strong to severe storms to develop across WNY.

The Storm Prediction Center has our area under a Marginal risk for severe storms.

The main threat will be damaging winds with these storms.

The best chance for storms will be between 12 and 8 p.m. The storms will arrive earlier across the Southern Tier.

With dew points in the 60s and the front passing through during the warmest part of the day we are setting the stage for some strong to severe storms this afternoon.

Be weather ready this afternoon!
