July 2018 started as a steamy one, three of the first 4 days were in the 90s.  It started dry as well, two weeks in and the Buffalo Airport only measured 0.17" of rain, which fell on three days.  The second half of the month brought a wet pattern with 10 days of rain over a two week period (at the Buffalo Airport).

The month stands at 74.3F degrees which keeps us in the top ten warmest July's on record.  This is the number 9 slot, tied with 1999 and right below 74.7F in 1916.

2.15" of rain takes us out of the top ten driest by over an inch, number 10 is 1.07". It is also nearly an inch below the average monthly rainfall total for the month of July, 3.23".  In case you're wondering, July 2018 is over three inches below making it into the top ten wettest too, number 10 is 5.50".
