BUFFALO, N.Y. [WKBW] — Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen has heard his name in trade rumors for years. He knows if the team shakes up their roster this summer, he could very likely be sent elsewhere.
"Buffalo has a bright future but we’ve been saying the bright future for seven years now," Ristolainen said with a smirk on Thursday.
Despite seven full seasons in the NHL, Ristolainen is still just 25-years-old. When asked if he wanted to be traded, Ristolainen did his best to answer, without saying yes or no.
“I want to win, whether it’s in Buffalo or somewhere else."
