On Wednesday six Canisius High School athletes officially signed their NCAA letters of intent to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.
The class is headlined by former 7ABC Super 7 athletes Blake Haubeil and Cole Burniston.
Haubeil will be heading to Ohio State University to kick for the Buckeyes while Burniston will stay in Western New York and play tight end for the University at Buffalo.
"Proximity to home is the biggest thing," Burniston said. "Being able to see my parents is huge for me, family is the biggest thing in my life and to be able to play an hour away from home is absolutely amazing."
I only shot a few @CanisiusHS games, but every time I did @ColeBurny25 was all over the place. Congrats on signing with @UBFootball @WKBW pic.twitter.com/DPLgRpdj33

"I committed to Ohio State not only because they are great on the field for athletics but off the field they truly do give so much back to the community," Haubeil said. "You know being a Canisius student I've learned to be a man for others and I can't wait to continue that there."
Congrats @BlakeHaubeil for officially signing with @OhioStateFB. He made some unreal kicks at @CanisiusHS -- he has a bright future! @WKBW pic.twitter.com/ZTIqmcdsXy
