On Wednesday night six Section VI girl's basketball teams looked to keep their seasons alive in a trio of championship games at Buffalo State College.

Here's how the games played out:

Class B -- Fredonia vs. Wilson

In the first game of the evening, Fredonia topped Wilson 53-47 to secure a Class B title. Hannah Cybart finished with 27 points for the Lady Billies along with 10 rebounds.

Fredonia will now play Section V champion Mynderse at Buffalo State on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.

Class A -- Amherst vs. Williamsville South

The second game of the night featured Class A rivals Amherst and Williamsville South. Amherst jumped out to a big lead and never looked back, winning their first ever Section VI title 63-47. Senior Claire Wanzer led the way with 20 points.

Amherst will next play Class V powerhouse Pittsford Mendon at Buffalo State on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

Class AA -- Clarence vs. Frontier

The last game of the evening proved to be the closest as Clarence knocked off Frontier 34-31 to secure the Class AA Section VI title. Frontier had a shot to tie things at the end of the game with a deep three, but the shot bounced off the back of the rim and into the hands of a Red Devils player.

Clarence will face back-to-back Section V champion Mercy at Buffalo State on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
