Northern Illinois didn't have a lead until 1:09 left in the fourth quarter but that was all they needed to knock off UB 30-29 to win the 2018 MAC Championship. At one point, Buffalo led 29-10 until NIU Scored 20 unanswered points.

Tyree Jackson completed 18 of 35 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns in the loss. Anthony Johnson was on the receiving end of both touchdowns, catching seven passes for 124 yards.

Jaret Patterson and Kevin Marks led the way for the Bulls on the ground, combining for 144 yards on 35 carries. Both Marks and Patterson scored rushing touchdowns in the loss.
UB will find out which bowl game they'll be heading to on Sunday evening when the NCAA postseason schedule is announced.
