BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — According to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Star Lotulelei will opt out of the 2020 season.
The NFL and NFLPA came to an agreementon moving forward with the 2020 season Friday. The NFL Network reported as part of the agreement high-risk players could opt out from the upcoming season due to coronavirus concerns.
#Bills veteran DT Star Lotulelei will be taking a voluntary opt-out for this season, source says. The former first-rounder has $4.5 million fully guaranteed this season as well as $2.5 million fully guaranteed the following year. So those will push into 2021 and ‘22.
