BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Buffalo Bills will play in their first AFC Championship Game next Sunday for the first time since January 23, 1994.

Whether it's the Kansas City Chiefs or the Cleveland Browns, it's safe to say a lot has changed since then.

Here's a snapshot of what was going on the last time the Bills played an AFC Championship Game

  • Number one song: "All For Love" by Bryan Adams/Rod Stewart/Sting
  • Number one movie: Philadelphia
  • Number one New York Times fiction best seller: Disclosure by Michael Crichton
  • President of the United States: Bill Clinton
  • Average price of a gallon of gas: $1.00

The last time the Bills played in an AFC Championship Game, they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 30-13 in Orchard Park.

If the Bills were to face the Chiefs again, they'll be playing in Kansas City; if they were to play the Cleveland Browns, who have not played in an AFC Championship Game since January 1990, they'll host them in Orchard Park.
