ATHENS, Ga. (WKBW) — Former Buffalo Bills safety Bacarri Rambo was arrested Saturday on charges of raping a University of Georgia student.

According to reports, a 21-year-old student told police she knew her attacker and showed them an Instagram profile with Rambo's name on it.

Rambo's attorney, Kim Stephens says the arrest was the result of an incident between Rambo and his accuser Friday night.

The 29-year-old signed with the Bills in November 2014 and played four games that season, which included a game against the Green Bay Packers where he had two interceptions against QB Aaron Rodgers.

Rambo played 15 games for the Bills in the 2015 season before signing with the Miami Dolphins.

He signed with the Bills again in 2017 and was released by the team a month later, before retiring from the NFL.
