BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The San Francisco 49ers announced the Monday Night Football game scheduled for December 7 against the Buffalo Bills will be played at State Farm Stadium in Arizona.
The 49ers came to an agreement with the NFL and the Arizona Cardinals to use the stadium for their Weeks 13 and 14 home games versus the Bills and Washington Football team due to new COVID-19 restrictions in Santa Clara County.
Health officials in Santa Clara County, where the 49ers' stadium is located, announced new restrictions would be in place as COVID-19 cases continue to rise. This includes a temporary ban on all professional and collegiate sports in which there is direct physical contact.
