ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WKBW) — The Toronto Blue Jays begin their playoffs with a series against American League East rival Tampa Bay Rays, Tuesday night.
The Rays finished with the best record in the American League, while the Blue Jays sit in the second wild card spot.
The best of three series will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday, with all games played at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla.
The Blue Jays went 4-6 this year against the Rays, with one of those wins coming at Sahlen Field in Buffalo.
Matt Shoemaker will pitch for the Blue Jays, while former Cy Young winner Blake Snell will pitch for the Rays.
