Bills knock off Lions 27-17, finish preseason 1-3

After three straight losses to open the preseason, the Buffalo Bills finally found themselves in the win column with a 27-17 win over the Detroit Lions.

Nathan Peterman took the Bills first team reps at quarterback, finishing the night 9-for-11 for 81 yards. Jonathan Williams scored the Bills first touchdown of the night halfway through the first quarter with a 21-yard touchdown run. Williams rushed ten times for 53 yards.

Joe Banyard was busy once Williams left the game, finishing the night with 68 yards on 14 attempts. Banyard added a one-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

Keith Wenning, who the Bills signed three days ago, finished the game 5-for-15 for 51 yards.
