BUFFALO (WKBW) — A celebrated local staple for hot dogs and ice cream is ready to reopen, with a twist. Taffy's Red Hots in Orchard Park announced on Facebook that the restaurant will reopen for "takeout only' on Friday, May 15th.
Taffy's says that the restaurant has made changes to operations to ensure the safety of employees and customers as the community continues to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. There will be no seating and the restaurant will only be offering a limited menu, Orders will be taken at an outside counter where customers must follow separation guidelines.
While some things have changed in the name of safety, Taffy's promises some things will remain the same "All of our beloved milkshakes and ice cream will be available".
Taffy's Red Hots has been a community gathering place for 70 years in Orchard Park.
