A Buffalo woman who killed her ex-husband will spend at least three years behind bars.
A judge sentenced Cuansharee Palmer on Friday to three to nine years in prison for manslaughter.
In April 2017, prosecutors say Palmer hit 39-year-old Donnell Sharp with her vehicle outside his Buffalo home. Investigators say she pinned him against a tree.
Sharp later died from his injuries.
Palmer was found guilty back in May.
Sharp’s family was in court, saying they are furious and the sentencing is not fair.
Palmer’s blood alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit at the time of the incident.
The couple’s two children were also in the car when it happened.
