Water main break leaves some dry in Angola

A large water main break has left some neighbors in Angola without water.  

Evans police first reported the break about 11:00 p.m. Wednesday.  Village Department of Public Works crews were out, still, at 2:30 a.m. trying to fix the problem.

Police say the large break is reported at North Main Street and Lincoln Avenue.

It's unclear just how many people are affected by this break in the main.

Town of Evans emergency managers say water should be back on by 6:30 a.m.

Although the Village of Angola is located in Erie County, the Erie County Water Authority does not have jurisdiction over this area.  The Village of Angola water department handles and maintains these mains.
