WHEATFIELD, N.Y. (WKBW-TV) — His name is Dan Guido but just a few weeks ago he became 'Dan Dan The Hot Dog Man'. Dan's deep dive into the hot dog business came about when he thought he might lose his day job, he says "I take picture of tourists in the Falls."
The enterprising entrepreneur picked up a hot dog cart, grill, picnic tables and got all the proper permits and started cooking hot dogs at 3466 Niagara Falls Boulevard right next to his mother's closed up motel. Dan says "you would be surprised, it's a lot of work just for a hot dog cart" adding I'm doing okay, I'm paying my bills."
Dan's can be seen wearing a big hot dog hat that he picked up on the internet "I typed in silly hot dog hats in google." He's also sporting a T-Shirt that reads "Certified Hotdogologist"
The good news is, Dan didn't lose his photography job in Niagara Falls. He'll take pictures on the weekends. Meanwhile he plans to be here year round selling hot dogs saying "I'll be out here when it's freezing, in my car with the heat on, I'll be cold and my dogs will be hot."
