BUFFALO, NY (WKBW-TV) — The talented twin sisters may have outsmarted Mother Nature. Brigette & Kristen Brzezniak make flowers from wood that look like the real deal. They went into business as KrisBrig Creative LLC.

The wood florals are only part of their business. They also create colorful, sparkling photographs. Helping each other with the description the sisters say "We describe it as a uv coated glitter, sparkle mirror like finish."

Their business was born out of their life threatening challenges. In 2012 Kristen was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Shortly after the girls were in a car accident together. "I have had four back surgeries and Kristen has had three" Brigette says.

In 2018 Brigette was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. When Kristen went to visit her at Roswell Park Cancer Institute she was shocked to discover that she couldn't buy real flowers in the gift shop. The girls point out that patients at Roswell are not allowed to come into contact with fresh florals.

The sisters started making wood flowers that are now available in a number of gift shops including the ones at Roswell and the Botanical Gardens. The twin's photographs are on display and up for sale at the Botanical Gardens through March 1st as part of the Lumagination display.
