The West Seneca West High School stage is a familiar place to Michelle Hamels-Jeziorowski. A couple decades ago she was singing and dancing here in her school musicals. Now she can sit back and enjoy watching her daughter Emma perform on the same stage.

Emma and her classmates are brushing up on their show "Anything Goes". Their production has been nominated for a Kenny Award. The Kenny's were started 25 years ago to celebrate high school musicals and their participants.

Michelle and Emma not only share a love of musicals, but Michelle performed in "Pippin" at West Seneca West in 1994 and her production was included in the first annual Kenny Awards. She says "It makes my heart swell with pride know that I passed onto her my love of music and the arts"

The Kenny Awards take place Saturday at Shea's Performing Arts Center. More info can be found at their website.
