NIAGARA FALLS, NY (WKBW-TV) — When Gary L. Wolfe retired from his county job after thirty years he was able focus full-time on his art. Recently his works have been appearing everywhere.

His portraits of homeless people called "Out of Darkness" will return to St. Bonaventure, he just won a prize from The Buffalo Society of Artists, the Erie Art Museum has taken one of his pieces and in Gary's words "this year is crazy, it's just an incredible year."

Gary's latest project is a series of nudes that gets it's title from a scene in the bible between Adam, Eve and God, "God says why did you hide, they say we were naked and God says who told you you were naked." says Gary. The artist hopes the series will speak to our vulnerability. Part of the series called "Who said you were naked" is already on display at the Burchfield-Penny Art Center.
