He turned a hobby into a popular brew business

West Shore Brewing Company In Clarence

Josh Dziomba and his wife Laura opened their West Shore Brewing Company in Clarence last year. They named it for the West Shore Railroad which used to run through Clarence Hollow and as a special nod to Josh's great grandfather. Josh says"my great grandfather came to work here and worked for the railroad for fifty years before he retired."

Their tap room is open Thursday through Saturday and the rest of the week Josh is busy keeping up with the demand. "It's been a struggle. I'll finally get ahead, then I go out and try to do stuff, then we get a big rush and I got to spend a whole lot of time bringing it back up."

It started as a hobby seven years ago when Laura bough Josh a beer making kit. Before long he was transformed from an amateur to an honest to goodness Brewmaster. He puts in very long hours but says it's worth it and adds "you got to do what you have a passion for and I just love brewing."

You can check out more information about the West Shore Brewing Company at their website.
