NIAGARA FALLS, NY (WKBW-TV) — Covanta Greenhouse in Niagara Falls is the home of the Niagara Floral and Greenhouse Program. Here they make beautiful plants and provide therapeutic horticulture therapy for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Assistant Director of the day services program Joey Vanderwalker says that the individuals who spend time here get a variety of benefits "it helps them with relaxation, it helps them with socialization skills and with goal setting."

This is one of the many programs offered by Intandem in Niagara County. The organization serves more than fifteen thousand individuals with disabilities.

The Niagara Floral and Greenhouse programs started in 1995. In 2015 they moved to this Covanta sponsored facility which provides them with three times the growing space.
