The outside of Lockport's Historic Palace Theatre has never looked better, but inside is a different story. Executive Director Christopher Parada says "It's a mess." The good news is, it's a temporary mess as the theatre undergoes a major renovation.
They have begun a four year capital campaign to raise 2.1 million dollars. Christopher says it was time to give the place a make-over adding "built in 1926 you have a building that has always stayed open but it needs some love. It needs some renovations."
The next couple of months the focus is on the paint and plaster. The plan is to bring back the original sparkle to the grand showplace.
Their live theatre season kicks off in November with Into The Woods, but they will have an unveiling at a fund raising event Saturday October 27th.
