For years, the Falcon-cam, perched high atop the Statler in Buffalo, has captured the attention of millions of nature lovers.
But, early Monday morning, the peace was interrupted when an intruder falcon entered the nest and fought with the female.
The female falcon flew away, injured.
The resident male falcon is now watching over the egg and there is no sign of the female.
The D.E.C. is still looking for the injured bird.
