A Silver Alert for a missing 74-year-old man with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia has been canceled.
ECMC tells us Gregory Beiter was found at Sisters Hospital. He was brought in from the cold weather and is being transferred back to ECMC. Officials tell us he is ok.
A statement from ECMC reads, "ECMC security alerted local police and other partner agencies about a patient with signs of dementia who left the hospital Monday. A Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert was subsequently issued. While hospital officials are prohibited by federal law from making further disclosures about the patient’s condition, ECMC is working with the family and law enforcement agencies to locate the man."
