An Eden man is facing charges a number of drug-related charges after police say he parked his car on a road, and hid heroin from police.

An Erie County Sheriff's sergeant stopped to investigate after 19-year-old Garret Olds had his car parked on Sisson Highway in the Town of Eden.  When the sergeant got close to the car, he noticed it smelled like marijuana.  Police searched the car and say they found nine hypodermic needles and numerous glycine packages.  Olds then admitted to police that he hid heroin along the road before police stopped him.  Police recovered those drugs as well.

Olds is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic needle, and a vehicle and traffic violation.  He was taken to the Erie County Holding Center.
