Pedestrian hit by driver in Amherst, driver charged

A 31-year-old man was hit and hurt by a driver, Wednesday night, according to Amherst police.

Police say the driver is a 20-year-old man from Buffalo.

The crash happened about 11:00 p.m. on Niagara Falls Boulevard and Oxford Avenue.

The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was taken to Erie County Medical Center.

Amherst police say the crash is still under investigation.  Charges are pending against the driver, who has not been identified either.
