New York State Police are looking for what's described as a "small black car" after a hit-and-run Monday night.

Police tell 7 Eyewitness News Luis Montalvo, no address, no age, was crossing Interstate 190, just north of Church Street when he was hit.  Montalvo was found in the southbound lane when crews arrived to the scene.

The hit-and-run was reported about 10:20 p.m. Monday.  Police say the driver hit Montalvo and then took off.

Montalvo was brought to Erie County Medical Center.  Police say he has a broken collarbone and some cuts on his head.

It's unclear why Montalvo was on the Interstate as a pedestrian.

If you have any information about the crash, call New York State Police Troop T.
