Buffalo Bisons fans rejoice.

On Thursday baseball returns to Buffalo for the first time in 2016.

With that return comes much needed business for some restaurants near the ball park

"We just don't have enough business here to keep the day business going," The Irish Times owner Marie Stachera said. "It all depends on the events going on. Baseball, Sabres, Bandits, concerts, that brings business. But, if there isn't any events going on there isn't any business. We have our loyal regulars but that's what we have to depend on."

Strachera says she's not sure exactly how much business baseball brings but with an almost empty One Seneca Tower baseball is what gets her through the warms months.

"I couldn't survive here without a Bisons season. It's terrible. You're in downtown Buffalo. We don't open on Saturdays and Sundays if there isn't any events going on, we don't even have to open our doors. There's nobody downtown, there's nobody in our neighborhood. They're down at Canalside which is just a little out of reach for us. But right in this area there's not enough people."
