WYOMING COUNTY, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Wyoming County woman has pleaded guilty for her involvement in a hit-and-run that injured two girls and killed a dog in Sheldon.

Prosecutors say 28-year-old Lauren Hall drover her car off the road and onto the shoulder of Dutch Hollow Road on August 15. A 15-year-old and 12-year-old girl were walking their dog when Hall hit them with her vehicle, according to prosecutors.

According to the Wyoming County District Attorney's Office, Hall said in court she was distracted and failed to keep her eyes on the road.

Police were able to identify the type of car involved in the accident from the scene. Tips from the public helped police find and arrest her.

Hall pleaded guilty to Leaving the Scene of a Serious Physical Injury Accident. She faces up to four years in state prison. Hall will be sentenced on Thursday, April 30.
