HAMBURG, NY (WKBW-TV) — Stan Kolonko says that COVID made his ice business melt away, adding ""I was out of business from March until November".

Stan is a World Champion ice carver and owns The Ice Farm in Central New York. He creates ice sculptures for special events and has brought his amazing artistry to the Erie County Fairgrounds.

He calls it the "Ice Sculpting Masters Winter Wonderland Drive Through". It will feature dozens of ice sculptures and seventeen scenes.

Stan says "This is a new concept, it's a drive thru event, we did one in Syracuse-honestly it's been my savior to keep my business afloat for the year."

With temperatures expected to be in the teens over the weekend, Stan says it's the perfect weather for an ice show, pointing out "For most people it's terrible-for an ice carver it's heaven."

The show runs Thursday February 11th through Monday February 15th and begins each evening at 5pm. Tickets are $25 per carload. Tickets can be purchased at the main gate and tickets and info available at the Erie County Fairgrounds website.
