LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WKBW) — A 22-year-old Niagara County woman with underlying health conditions has died of COVID-19, according to the Niagara County Health Department.

A department spokesperson confirms the woman was Tatiana Moore, who was awaiting a double lung transplant at the Cleveland Clinic. Moore turned 22 last month. She is the 94th person to die from the virus in the county.

A county update emailed to the media Friday morning stated the woman had no underlying health conditions. At 2:09 p.m., Niagara County Public Information Officer Kevin Schuler sent another email stating she did have underlying health conditions.

"The original update was incorrect in stating she had no such conditions. Our apologies for the mistake," Schuler said.

There have been a total of 1,337 positive cases in Niagara County since the pandemic began. Seventy-one of those cases are still active, with 70 people isolating at home and one person in the hospital. A total of 1,172 people have recovered.
