FREDONIA, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Village of Fredonia has extended a local state of emergency due "to the unstableness of the production of potable water while maintaining acceptable turbidity limits."
The original state of emergency was due to a water system failure in the village. Fredonia was under a boil water advisory until September 30.
The state of emergency will remain in effect for 30 days.
The extension was recommended by the Chautauqua County Department of Health.
