Village of Fredonia declares local state of emergency due to water system failure

Update: Bottled water will be distributed at the Village DPW, 176 Eagle St, on Tuesday 9/15 and Thursday 9/17 from 8am-11am and 4pm-7pm.

The Village of Fredonia has declared a local state of emergency, effective immediately, due to a water system failure in the village.

According to Mayor Douglas Essek, the village will assist with distribution of potable drinking water until the state of emergency ends.

Employees with the Village of Fredonia will be available to assist the public during normal operation hours by phone at (716) 679-2307.
