BUFFALO, NY (WKBW-TV) — Samantha Carncross says she is a collector by nature. "I can't throw things out, but I'm not a hoarder" she adds. In January she opened a little shop on Parkside Avenue across from the zoo. She called it Loose Moose because the place is "Loosely a little bit of everything."

Her shop features antiques and artisans. Samantha says it's "mostly nick nacks, but we do have our fair share of old and new."

One area is filled with old tools include wood planes, saws and axes. Samantha says "Some people come in and say 'My God I feel like I'm in grandpa's garage'".

In the back of the shop is another business owned by Liz Brodfuehrer called Buffalo Seamery. Liz makes hats, ties, dresses, masks and other wearable items all with a Buffalo theme.

Liz says she used to work at home but ran out of space. She and Samantha met on line and they decided to go into business together. Liz designs all of her fabric and says one of her best sellers is her "Pierogi Socks."

Buffalo Seamery and Loose Moose are located at 299 Parkside Avenue across from the Buffalo Zoo. Liz says her merchandise is available at her website. Samantha and Loose Moose are featured on Facebook.
