BUFFALO, NY (WKBW-TV) — Chris Handley took over as Executive Director at the Alleyway Theater in July in the middle of the pandemic. He says "It's different than I expected my first year to be, that's for sure."
With live shows being canceled, Chis went to work and put together a Digital Theatre Festival featuring new works. He says "We asked people to write plays specifically for the internet, and specifically for a virtual world."
The festival presents eight new plays and Alleyway has collaborated with Broadway Stars to perform. "One of them is Elizabeth Stanley" Chris says "She was just nominated for a Tony Award for The Jagged Little Pill."
