LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) — New Yorkers are looking to steer away from new license plates, according to new poll from Siena College.
Two-thirds of New Yorkers say they oppose the requirement from Gov. Andrew Cuomo which would require residents to exchange their old license plates for new plates, for a $25 fee. In fact, that some poll found three-quarters of New Yorkers say that fee is unfair.
The state ended up selecting this as the new design for the plate, earlier this month.
Siena says one-in-ten New Yorkers participated in the online contest for a new state license plate.
