NEW YORK (WKBW) — The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles says the people have spoken and following a statewide survey to determine the new state license plate, the design which includes Niagara Falls won.
The design, which can be seen above, was one of five designs New Yorkers could vote for. It includes Niagara Falls, the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline.
The new design will become New York's official license plate and be made available in April 2020.
Once the new plates become available, the Department of Motor Vehicles will stop issuing the Empire Gold plates and begin fully transitioning to the new design.
