WEST SENECA, N.Y. (wkbw) — Residents at a West Seneca senior apartment complex are once again worried about losing their power.
Families of residents at the apartment complex say they received a new notice from NYSEG this week warning that electric service could be shut off.
The notice comes just two months after residents were left without power when NYSEG shut off electricity over an unpaid bill.
Laura Hafner, whose mother lives at the complex, said she wasn't surprised to see another shutoff notice.
“I wasn't really that surprised, but it's a little frustrating that they still haven't resolved that issue," Hafner said.
She said the situation raises questions about the finances of the company managing the property.
“I feel like there is an issue with their finances in terms of what they can pay," she said.

The latest notice has residents and their families concerned that the same situation could happen again, particularly given that many of the people living at the complex are seniors.
WKBW has reached out to the property's management company, One Clover, asking what steps it has taken since the previous shutoff to prevent another interruption in service.
One Clover has not responded to the request for comment.
A NYSEG spokesperson sent the following statement when the power was previously shut off in June 2026:
“A service interruption only occurs when an account holder, in this case, a property management company, has not paid their bill after multiple attempts to address the balance.
Before any disconnection, we make repeated efforts to work with the customer responsible for the account to find a solution. We also provide multiple notifications, including phone calls and written notices, in advance of any shutoff.
We remain actively engaged with this property management company and continue to urge a swift resolution so service can be maintained for tenants.”
