Report: Drugs found in hotel room where missing parents were staying

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — About 4.4 pounds of cocaine was found in a hotel room near Buffalo, where three missing persons from Florida were staying, according to The Buffalo News.

Buffalo Police say the rental car the three traveled in was found burned beyond recognition Monday night,behind a storage facility in Riverside.

Hours earlier, a three-year-old boy, who has been identified as Noelvin, was found sleeping on a porch less than a mile away from the site of the burned car. The boy's parents, 24-year-old Nicole Mersed and 31-year-old Miguel Valentin, haven't made contact with their family since Sunday.

Sources told The Buffalo News the suspected cocaine was found inside a cooler in the hotel room where the family was staying. The hotel is near the Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

Thursday, Buffalo Police released video that identifies a potential person of interest in the case. Video shows two suspects walking away from a big ball of fire in the distance. One video shows the little boy, holding hands with one of the persons of interest.
